'Manchester enjoyed a record year in 2010 with city centre take-up reaching 1.35m sq ft. Grade A take-up accounted for 650,000 sq ft, with the Co-Op pre-letting of 328,000 sq ft substantially boosting both sets of figures.
Despite a significant reduction in demand from the public sector, it was the continued strength of Manchester's indigenous professional and financial sector's combined with inward occupational investment which helped achieve the record take-up. '
