
Complete Medical Communications were already a customer of ours in Sovereign Court, Macclesfield, when they approached us regarding their existing building and their expansion needs. They owned the building opposite Sovereign Court - 21 King Edward Street, and needed some expansion space. We had no additional space within Sovereign Court at the time and we therefore agreed to purchase their building and the building adjacent to them which was owned by a third party. The solution was to demolish the adjacent building, build a new office building of 15,000 sq ft , refurbish parts of their existing premises and lease the whole back to them. This was complicated by the fact that their existing building is listed and achieving a consent for the new build element was not as straightforward as it should have been. In addition, there were some delicate negotiations to undertake since the company had recently been purchased by Interpublic Group, but the premises remained in the ownership of the original business owners who were no longer involved going forward.
The positive working relationship survived the above process and continues to this day when we recently moved our own premises to further accommodate their growth plans.
